Meet the man behind the Jutak warrior.
Rydak knew he'd never have a Chosen. His empathic touch blessed and cursed him with the ability to read and sense the emotions of everyone he came in contact with. Until her. Lissi Alonson, sister to the Unit Leader of the Jutak warriors he respected and a woman he'd be a fool to fall for.
For years, Lissi had a crush on the elite soldier in her brother's Unit but the proud Jutak ignored her every attempt to get his attention. Then one night changes everything and he'll defy his personal rules to spend his life with her by his side.
How far will Rydak fall?
Not what I expected, but nice. Lissi was very annoying in the beginning. Very naive and childish. Later in the book a realized she was naive because of the way she grew up. Always protected by Torkel and her parents. She really didn’t have her mother’s strength, but she was tenacious and very loving. She grew on me. Loved everything about Rydak. Under neath all that strength was a loving, huge heart. One thing that disturbed me was when Rydak rescued Lissi from the rapists, there was that passionate scene between them. Very strange. She was just almost raped. Why would she possibly want to be groped by anyone after that. All in all, I did enjoy the book. Not as much as Torkel or Kyele’s, but it was pretty good. Enjoy.
