Publisher Description

Saigon Artbook was a project created by three friends living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Alex, Long, and Nam worked together to have a positive impact upon Vietnamese society; they wanted to make art something accessible to all people.
Along those lines, the book was published every quarter and given away for free. The book was paid for by sponsors who wanted to support art in Vietnam. Because of our various sponsors, they were able to create high-quality books that did not have anything intruding upon the artwork: all the art was shown in its most pure form possible and laid according to the artists' visions for their work without text, pages numbers, or advertisements. This meant people could own beautiful reproductions of the artwork!
When the team launched each book, they would hold an event with hundreds of guests, sometimes thousands. The artists would exhibit their original pieces and the public would attend and get a chance to meet them. All the guests could take the exhibition home with them in the form of a beautiful book.
Over the years that the team ran Saigon Artbook, they gained a loyal following of people who collected each edition. While Saigon Artbook is no longer publishing, it has left a lasting impact upon Vietnamese society with a rich and vibrant art scene happening across the city.

Saigon Artbook brings people together

I love Saigon Artbook Edition 1 because to me it is not just a book—it was the heart of a vibrant series of fun, exciting, and surprising events that brought people together around a shared love of art. Each launch felt like a celebration, turning the pages into a living experience where young creators and audiences connected, laughed, and dreamed together. It showed how art can be more than something we look at—it can be something we live and celebrate as a community.
