وصف الناشر
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Sherryl Woods takes readers to the North Carolina coast with a new family and her trademark heartfelt emotions
In a trade-off she’s lived to regret, Emily Castle left home years ago to become an interior designer. The youngest of three sisters, Emily desperately wanted to prove herself. Success, though, came at the cost of leaving behind the man she loved.
For Boone Dorsett, losing Emily left his heart shattered, but another woman was waiting in the wings. Now a widower with a young son, Boone has a second chance with Emily when a storm brings her home. But with his former in-laws threatening a custody suit, the stakes of loving her are higher than ever.
Will fate once again separate them—or is the time finally right for these two star-crossed lovers?
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bestseller Woods (the Sweet Magnolias series) launches a series about sisters juggling love and career with this bland contemporary. Emily Castle leaves her interior decorating business in Los Angeles to help her grandmother, whose North Carolina restaurant has been damaged by a hurricane. She encounters Boone Dorsett, whom she left 10 years before to pursue her career. Boone married another, but, conveniently, his wife died a year ago, leaving him with a guilty conscience and eight-year-old B.J., who strikes up an implausibly swift friendship with Emily. Boone is concerned about the effect a new relationship will have on his son, but he and Emily explore the possibility of starting over. This results in endless backing and forthing, as Emily juggles clients, career, and her relationship with Boone, while they discuss at length whether it's the right thing for all involved. The only real obstruction is the hollow threat of a custody battle from Boone's resentful mother-in-law; the conclusion is predictable and slightly cloying.

Sand Castle Bay
I enjoyed this book and became invested in the characters early on, which is why I kept reading it, although I did feel a bit frustrated by it at times. I felt that there was so much drama at times between the characters that the ending came up too swiftly. Like we were drawn down this winding path only to reach the destination before cresting upon the mountain top in time to see the amazing view in the valley below.. that said, I enjoyed the book enough to read the next one in the series. I hope we learn more about some of the other characters in this family in the next one! So yes, 4 stars because I am invested in the characters, and it would have been 5 if the ending had been developed a little bit better.
Enjoyable
Good family story !`
Another sweet book from Sherryl Woods
Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by Sherryl Woods. She writes characters that are real enough to make me wish I knew them. She does not drag us into uncomfortable bedroom scenes. Instead, while there are couples in love & in “lust”, we readers get to use our imagination or simply not venture into the sex lives of the characters. I, for one, truly appreciate that. The book is populated with enough other characters, but not so many that you can’t keep up with who’s who. Unfortunately, my knock on this book is that the ending seemed rushed. Otherwise, this would definitely be a 5 star review.
