Satni and the House of Illusions

After taking the Book of Thoth from a sacred tomb, Prince Satni-Khamoîs begins to feel wiser and more important than everyone around him. His father, King Usimares, warns him that pride can turn knowledge into danger, but Satni refuses to listen.

One day, Satni meets Lady Tbubui, a graceful noblewoman who invites him to her beautiful house in Bubastis. Inside the golden mansion, Satni is surrounded by music, comfort, and riches. Lady Tbubui tests him with questions about treasure, pride, and family. As Satni signs away more and more of what matters, the shining house begins to feel less like a palace and more like a trap.

At last, Satni remembers what is truly important. When the illusion fades, he discovers that the Book of Thoth has been teaching him a hard lesson.
