Satni and the Shining Book

Satni-Khamoîs is a young prince of ancient Egypt who loves scrolls, temple writings, and hidden knowledge. When a mysterious stranger tells him about the powerful Book of Thoth, Satni becomes determined to find it, even after his father warns him that not every treasure should be taken.

With his loyal foster-brother Inarôs, Satni enters the tomb of Prince Nenoferkephtah, where the shining book waits beside Nenoferkephtah and his sorrowful wife, Ahuri. They warn Satni that the book brought sadness to their family, but Satni's desire for knowledge is stronger than his caution. After losing a magical game and nearly being trapped, Satni still takes the book away.
