Saturday Santa-Not Your Ordinary Christmas Story
The 3rd book in The Canyon Club series equals a Christmas vibe tangled up with instant attraction and sexual tension between the main characters, Jack and Mari, and supense and intrigue in the form of Jack’s past. Jack, bent on destroying a relentless enemy, Jack has no interest in Christmas, or relationships until spying from his fortress-like beach house, he becomes intent on connecting with a woman who accompanies a feeble old man along a beach walkway. Arranging an accidental meeting with Mari- who is the epitome of all things Christmas- a season Jack has abandoned, sparks fly from the outset. Despite extreme differences in their lifestyles & personalties, Jack is compelled to see Mari again. Mari, on the other hand, is conflicted by her feelings and Jack’s strange behavior. Alas, falling in love is easy; making love work, not so much, and any relationship between the two is continually thwarted by a really bad dude, and Jack’s secrets. Great dialogue and wonderful images move the story quickly. Add in mystery, suspense, and friction between hero and heroine, and presto- you get a story of love prevailing over evil, and the happily ever after we all hope for.
