Savage Serpent

I really have enjoyed this series so far with its mix of mystery and secrets with a twist of the otherworldly. This set covers the first 4 books in the series and sets it all up. A good series to get sucked into and I enjoyed.

1 This is more of a prequel feel to start a new series that was very entertaining to read. Just introduces a few characters and gives a good feel to what is coming. Lots of questions raised in this one. But really made me laugh and think Beatlejuice was the basis for a few characters but it really worked to get a feel for what is coming. Just entertaining and fun.

2 There was a lot of tension, suspense, danger and new characters in the second installment of Kara and Keaton's story. Kara is introduced to a bit of the void but questions are raised but not really answered. And get to learn more about the pact they made. I laughed and groaned but found it entertaining and hard to put down. Had to see what would happen next and what Keaton would do. Oh the hints to what might be coming.

3 Things have progressed and now it is marriage time for Kara and Keaton. And what a time it was as they get married but learn a few truths about it they were not aware of. But it was on and then things got steamy. And then things heated up more as a few surprises happen along with a few truths too are revealed. Lots of angst, surprises and some minor action to move the story along.

4 Kara and Keaton are back and so is the drama, intrigue, betrayal, surprises and revelations. All my favorite characters are present and add to the story. Loved it. Loved watching and getting to know Keaton a little more as he realizes how much Kara means to him.

Just a fun entertaining series so far.

Book1:

If you liked Beetlejuice you will really enjoy this story. A secret academy of keepers a forbidden soul that should never never be released and a young woman looking for answers. Yet all is not quite as clear as the adult keepers would like the trainees to believe. Lots of action, lots of secrets and lots of fun to read!

Book2:

Kara has made her deal and now she has to deal with the consequences namely Keaton. She wants so badly to find her family, to find the truth and to finally understand what is happening. The question is thought can Keaton really deliver or is he just using her for his own gain. Stuck in the void now with a dubious character Kara is confronted with her feelings and desires and finds herself in a situation that’s more murky and confusing than expected. Not only because of Keaton but because of herself.
This series is just awesome! I love the character’s personalities. The warring emotions Kara has and the lengths she’s willing to go for her desire for truth. Keaton is just fun. No holds barred, no filters just lets it all come out. An absolutely fabulously fun book!

Book3:

The wedding is on. Kara and Keaton newlyweds are scorching together. Though she’s conflicted she’s resolute in keeping her word and upholding her end of the bargain. Keaton is as well. I’m a fan of the couple and frankly I think the keepers are hiding something hinky. For family you do whatever it takes and Kara has, but what will the keepers do to hide their secrets, and what do they really know that they won’t tell?
Just wow! Keeps getting better with every book. But omg the cliffhanger! So don’t want to wait to find out what’s next!!

Book4:

Some spoilers
Wow! The action and the heat get turned up another notch as we jump back into the fray with Kara and Keaton. Both struggle against feelings they think they shouldn’t have but neither can deny what’s between them is something. The keepers are still being mysterious and what is the significance of Kenton’s blade? Add in the prince of the void wanting a causal visit and there’s never a dull moment for these two. The search for Richard continues and Kara and Keaton steam up the pages of this story you won’t want to miss!.
