PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Raskin (Overthinking About You) charms in this modern marriage of convenience romance. Los Angeles couples' therapist and popular YouTuber Emma Moskowitz is caught off guard when her perfect fiancé dumps her six months before the wedding. Distraught over the end of her relationship, embarrassed that she can't fulfill her own "couple goals," and eager not to lose her deposits, Emma creates Operation: Save My Date, a mission to find a new groom to marry at the wedding she's already planned. All she needs is a willing partner who gets that it's not time that decides a relationship's success, it's compatibility. After a few duds, Emma meets podcast producer Will, who is not onboard to be her groom, but does want to record her efforts for his podcast. It's a fun premise and Raskin does a great job surrounding Emma with a wacky cast and realistically depicting the challenges of modern dating. Sparkling dialogue, plentiful humor, and a heavy dose of Emma's couple's counselor wisdom make this a treat.
