About the Author

Eric Chandler is a follower of Jesus Christ who knows firsthand the danger of self-deception. After the Lord opened his eyes to the truth, he developed a deep burden for the church and a desire to help others look honestly at their faith through the lens of Scripture. His testimony fuels his commitment to proclaim the whole truth of God’s Word—inviting the lost, the wandering, and the self-assured into a deeper encounter with Christ.


Since coming to saving faith, Eric has served as a shepherd and missionary, sharing the gospel, discipling others, and encouraging believers to pursue authentic, Spirit-empowered transformation. He frequently serves as a guest speaker, sharing his testimony and the gospel message with churches, ministries, and community groups. His heart beats for revival in the church and for awakening among those who assume they are saved, yet have never encountered true conversion.


Eric lives in Virginia with his wife, Cheryl, and is grateful for the grace of God that has shaped their lives and marriage.
