Powerful, emotional, and down to earth
There is life after abuse. As a survivor myself, this book spoke to me on a deeply personal level. It’s a balancing act of finding light in the midst of utter darkness. It’s sweet and heartfelt, without shying away from the darker themes that make this story a compelling look at the aftermath of trauma. While the protagonists border on idyllic, the story itself is a thoughtful exploration of difficult topics. Well done!
