Return to the USA Today bestselling Red Stone Security series!
Having spent her whole life trying to prove she’s just as capable as her four older brothers, art retrieval expert Ivy Danger has landed the biggest gig of her career, one that will bring in a massive payday for the animal shelter she supports. That is, if she doesn’t die before cashing the check. Even if she locates the stolen art, the violent gang of thieves won’t give it up without a fight. She has one person she can turn to for help—Nash Harris. Security expert, her brother’s best friend…and the gorgeous man of her fantasies who treats her like a kid sister. Not that she’d do anything about her attraction anyway—not when it would screw up her family dynamic if things went sideways between them.
Despite having known Ivy forever, “brotherly” is the last word Nash would use to describe his feelings for the sexy troublemaker. She’s it for him. The One. He’s known it for a while…but convincing Ivy is another matter. But first he’ll have to keep her alive when she’s targeted by a dangerous group known for violent retaliation. They’ve worked together before, but she’s over her head with this latest job. Nash will do whatever it takes to keep her safe, to prove she can trust him—on the job, with her life, and with her heart.
Red Stone Security Series, #17
Author note: all books in this series may be read as stand-alones, complete with HEA.
This had a great mix of a strong heroine who could hold her own, while still showing a vulnerability that allows for the hero to support and protect her. This also had a good mix of suspense and romance. I never felt like either was more prominent in the story. That's not always an easy balance to maintain. It made for a more exciting read while falling in love with the main couple. While you do get recurring side characters from this series, it can easily be read as a standalone. I like that because I have not read this series in order and I still feel connected to all the characters. I have enjoyed everybook I've read in this series so far and that makes me excited to read more.
Nash and Ivy
Nash and Ivy. I so love Red Stone! Great chemistry between these two. It really is a slow burn. So many times you want to say get on with it already! Lots of action and suspense. Friends to lovers. Sweet ending.
Ivy is an expert at art retrieval getting the finders fee and saving insurance money. This job was big, and was risky dealing with Chavez drug cartels. This would save the pet business and she could settle down. Needing a body guard for this, she contacted Nash, her brothers friend, as security. He always wanted more, but friend’s with her brother she was off limits
as far as he was concerned. ,This job could change things. The offer of a job with her friend Genesis would be ideal. That is if she lived through this last assignment . Fast action and good flowing plot to the end. Ivy and Nash were good together. Given ARC by Net Galley and Kensington for my voluntary revie
