Publisher Description

Eden: Josh Evans and I have been best friends forever. He knows all my secrets, and I know all of his. So when he randomly asks me to help him lose his virginity, I sort of flip out. That’s a question that sends your mind to places you’ve seriously never considered before. Like, you know. Having sex. With your best friend. Except Josh doesn’t want to have sex with me—he wants me to help him find a girl. A nice girl, who’s funny and smart and cute. Except he already knows a girl just like that…

Josh: Eden Sumner is my best friend. So of course she’d be the person to help me find my perfect match, so I can drop my V-card before I head off to college. Except the more we search, the more I realize that maybe the right girl has been by my side all along. I don’t need Eden’s help in finding me a girl to love. I’m pretty sure I’m already in love with Eden. But now she thinks I’m only after one thing...with anyone but her.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book is what happens when American Pie meets Friends with Benefits. It contains two best friends, plenty of angst, and lots and lots of sex talk. Reading this might have you looking at your best friend in a different light!

Adorably amazing

Josh and Eden have been best friends for years. When he decides that he's tired of still carrying his v-card, he asks Eden to help him choose a girl to lose it to. This project shows both of them that there is more to their relationship than purely friendship.

I labolsultely love best friends to lovers stories. The basis of the relationship has already been built but there's always the "am I sure I want to take the risk" present. Josh and Eden have an amazing friendship and it would be devastating to both of them to lose it but their other friends have seen what they haven't for a long time: they are *perfect* for each other. This YA take on my favorite trope was an adorable read. I loved these characters and am really hoping that some of the others also get their stories told.

Cute and Angsty YA Friends to Lovers Romance

This was a cute and angsty YA contemporary romance! I'm a huge fan of the friends to lovers trope and there's nothing sweeter than best friends discovering what everyone else seems to have known all along. I am always impressed with how well Monica Murphy writes the teenage mind. She perfectly captures all the drama and insecurities of navigating high school. I enjoyed having both Josh and Eden's points of view and I felt like their voices were true and realistic for their ages. Yes, they're immature. Yes, they overreact. But they also feel passionately and deeply, because didn't we all when we were teenagers? Didn't it feel like the end of the world when our crush didn't notice us or if you didn't feel like you quite fit in? There were some very sweet and funny moments when these best friends start to see each other in a new light. It was predictable with some other boy/girl drama and the inevitable push away, but if you're looking for an easy and cute YA romance, you don't want to miss Saving It!

Beautiful story about the life of typically complex teenagers!

“Saving It” is author Monica Murphy’s newest young adult book, and it was fantastic! This book explores the typically complex life of teenagers and friendships generally - how friendships are created, and how they grow and change. The twist in this storyline is that the two main characters, who are best friends, happen to be a boy and a girl. And, this book makes the reader question whether opposite sexes can really be only friends. Josh and Eden take us through their journey, and Monica does a beautiful and delicate job exploring how their relationship evolves. It is a wonderfully sweet story. It brought me back to high school and trying to navigate friendships with the opposite sex. Although I had guy friends in high school, several that remain friends to this day, we never ripped off the friendship seal - but we definitely considered it. I think we all hope to fall in love with our best friend - I did, but years after high school! Another amazing story - keep them coming Monica!
