Saving Jacob

Jacob, who has just come out of prison for the second time in less than two years, has made up his mind that he wants to change his life and also return to college to complete his teaching diploma. He also wants to eventually teach in a school in the small village deep inside The Valley of A Thousand Hills, where he went to school, as he wants to give something back to the community that he let down so badly when he was sent to prison for stealing.
The monk whose job it is to help people who have come to such a decision, has decided to help Jacob. He has taken a liking to Jacob and he also believes he is sincere. This is why he causes something to happen on Jacob's train journey back home, that will lead him towards the place where he lives.
Within the story, reality shifts just ever so slightly to make the telling of the tale more interesting and also to allow the monk to do whatever he has to do to help Jacob on his way. So open your mind as you allow the monk to lead you into his world, as well as Jacob's world, to a place where the two worlds collide and mingle without any difficulty, or any sense that something might be amiss.
