A jilted small-town doctor. An allergic-to-white bridal boutique owner. Can these two gun-shy cynics ever say 'I Do'?
Dr. Joe Whelan lost his taste for love when he was left at the altar-thanks to a woman who should've kept her focus on his fiancée's bridal gown and out of his business. Moving to the remote Stewart Island wasn't far enough to get away from those humiliating memories. Luckily Joe's got a plan to both get even with the sharp-tongued firecracker who ruined his life, and to ensure his sister doesn't marry the biggest mistake of hers.
MacKenna Jones loves a good wedding so long as she's not the one walking down the aisle. Now she's temporarily back on Stewart Island and face-to-face with the good doctor who boils her blood one moment and weakens her knees the next. A seven day road trip with him to sabotage his sister's wedding in the Marriage Capital of the World wasn't her idea, nor was falling for his sexy bedside manner-so why are wedding bells ringing in her ears?
Marriage and happily-ever-after are for suckers, but is love in the cards for MacKenna and Joe when what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas?

"Perfection comes in many shapes and forms, and Ms Alvarez delivers in her contemporary voice and quirky character traits that make a distinctive difference between average and stellar storytelling." ~ InD’Tale Magazine
"Just as the must-read series of Donna Kauffman (The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove), Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor), Terri Osburn (Anchor Island), Marie Force (The McCarthys of Gansett Island), Sherryl Woods (Chesapeake Shores) have entranced me with their seaside settings and caring communities - so has Tracey Alvarez - and I'm adding her series to my must-read shelf too."~ Fab Fantasy Fiction

Love those crazy-great Irish families!!!
This fabulous story is book 8 in the Stewart Island series and it features MacKenna Jones and Dr. Joe Whelan. This entire series is full of fantastic five star reads. I love Dr. Joe and his Irish family. Mac is a little fickle but through everything, her feelings for Joe never wavered. From the moment they met they led each other on a crazy, emotional adventure.
I highly recommend this fantastic story set in Stewart Island, New Zealand. I always love traveling Due South to this wonderful island full of amazing people. I can't wait to visit again.
I say I do to this book!
I love this series and this book is no exception. Tracey Alvarez manages to take me on a virtual trip to New Zealand in each book and this time we got a quick trip to Vegas too. And on top of it all we get some bonus Irish additions courtesy of Joe and his family.
Joe and Mac really can't avoid each other even though that's what they'd like to do. I couldn't figure what made them dislike each other as much as they did. I knew Mac was clearly around to see things go wrong for Joe but it certainly was interesting to see how it all happened.
I loved getting to meet Joe's family! They were so much fun! Plus, thanks to Joe's sister we get our trip to Vegas. It's so interesting to see both their family dynamics and how Joe thinks of all things marriage, especially when it comes to his baby sister.
And the crew from Stewart Island! It's so nice to catch up with them (a lot of this also revolves around Mac helping out her cousin Holly as she prepares to get married to Ford). It's nice to get to know Doctor Joe Whelan who we've gotten to hear about a few times in the past. I only wish I could get monthly books on what they are all up to!
Each one of the stories in this series will make you happy, frustrated, and happy again. It's just the right amount of sexy too! I most definitely recommend this book and every other book Tracey Alvarez writes! I can't even explain how excited I was to hear that this one was coming out! I can’t wait to see who we get to learn about next! And maybe a book for Reid can be on the list? I loved hearing about him and absolutely want to know how his love life works out!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Receiving this copy in no way influenced my opinions on the book. My late night reading was a result of the book being so good I couldn't put it down!
