Oh this one gets a 10 out of 5!!!
Loved it. Wonderful love story, adventure, surprises, hilarity.
Good book!
One review said the hero was unapologetic. That’s incorrect. You see he has regrets before you’re halfway through the book.
Silence is so protective of Mary Darling that she’ll stand up to one of the most feared men in St. Giles. She’s flawed. She imagines she had a perfect marriage and she’s terrible at cooking and sewing. So, I also disagree with the statement that she has no personality.
It’s a steamy romance with some strong characters. I enjoyed it.
Not one of her best
Sometimes it’s just a little too gritty and clunky, y’know? She’s a good writer, but pick a different one.
