Publisher Description
Pasha & Poop, two adorable housecats take on Ebeneezer, the Grinch of all Cats. James Patterson’s funniest animal adventure since Katt vs. Dogg.
When shelter cats Pasha and Poop move in with their new human family, they find themselves up against a ghostly bully. Scaredy Cat demands they follow his rules or he'll cause all kinds of trouble-knock over lamps, spill kitty litter, and even get them shipped back to the animal shelter!
But Pasha and Poop are stubborn and rebellious. They won't follow the Scaredy Cat's ridiculous rules like all of the other pets on the block. Together, they set out to find the truth behind who the Scaredy Cat really is, and how they can end his mischief-making for good.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
When the erudite Pasha (a three-year-old, male, white long-haired Persian born in Russia) and neurotic Poop (a two-year-old, female, gray British shorthair) are adopted by the exuberant Wilde family from a kill shelter in an American town called Fairview, the two cats look forward to a life as cherished companions. No sooner have they moved into their new home on Strawberry Lane than they're visited by the ghost Scaredy Cat, who claims dominance over the neighborhood and demands their obedience. If they refuse, he promises to ensure they're cast out and abandoned. Poop and Pasha swear to free the cats of the area from Scaredy Cat's tyranny by uniting those he has already tormented, but to do so they must discover his greatest secret. With this whimsical yet unnerving ghost story, Patterson and Grabenstein (the Max Einstein series) explore the secret lives of cats, capturing their mercurial natures and capricious behavior even as they cast the feline mystique in a new light. Herzog's b&w animation-style illustrations of the cast add a layer of whimsy, while underlying themes of human mistreatment and abandonment provide a sobering reminder of responsibility and obligation for pet owners. Ages 8–12.

Scary Cat
This book was great! Here is a rating by my 10-year old daughter who starts off saying, “this book needs to be rated 1 million out of 5 stars!” And continues with, “I recommend this book for everyone. It is one of my all time favorite books and is the cutest and most heart-warming book ever! I wish there was a sequel. This book is totally worth the money and you should all read it; if you are a cat owner, you absolutely MUST read it!”
And remember, “fear is only in your mind!”
