We had the pleasure of reading this book as beta readers. My daughter and I instantly fell in love with the characters and marveled at the illustrator's knack for capturing facial expressions. After reading the story, I found my daughter staring at the illustrations intently as there is so much color and detail to take in. The illustrator is quite talented. The story is solid as well. The author included a good dose of humor for both children and adults. I also appreciated the dialogue it created between my child and me. This book is right up there with my daughter's two favorite series, Fancy Nancy and Berenstain Bears. Scarlett is a keeper!
