Great read.
This was a refereshing story in the fact that Dominick is a twenty one year old college student that is looking for a meaningful relationship and not a one night stand. He works hard in college and at his job. He has demons from his past that he is also dealing with. Denise is your average college girl who does not have a tragic past. She and Dominick don’t have an instant connection. They have to work on their relationship. I don’t want to give away the story so I will say this is a refreshing story that does not follow a cliche. Dominick and Denise are characters you will be able to feel like they are friends. I loved that they did not fall in instant love. I will be looking for more books by Marie Long.

Scarred
This book reminded me of a lot of problems of abused kids in their families. I found the book to be well written well worth reading. After all my years in law enforcement I have had to deal with a lot of these problems and it brings to light just how it can really mess up a kids life. It really hurts to see the kids go through life like this but feel that you have really put a light on a subject that should open people's eyes to the trauma this has on the young ones that have and some still go through. My thanks for a well written book that I enjoyed very much keep up the good work and look forward to reading more of your books.

Slow read and difficult to get emotionally invested
I received this book for free and therefore providing you with an honest evaluation. I was intrigued by the summary of this book so I just went for it.
This was a very slow read. I couldn't get emotionally involved in the characters and one of the main characters Genius just doesn't jump off the pages at you.
The characters don't seem to connect even once they actually do get together.
A few times I started to just give up on this novel, but I wanted to be optimistic.
I finally finished this book only 575 pages, yet it took me several days to complete versus other novels 2500+ and I completed those in one day!
