DECEPTION COMES AT A COST
Author Ashley Farley writes books about women and for women. In her latest release, Scent of Magnolia, she delves deep into the psyche of one woman whose life is not as perfect as it seems. To most of her family, she is the epitome of motherhood, even taking in a teenage foster child. To her husband, she was the one that kept his world organized and running like a well-oiled machine. To her neighbors, she was always available with a listening ear, a word of advice, or a dish when someone was sick, a baby was born, or there was a death in the family. Her home was a showplace and through the years had been featured on the cover of several well-known magazines. She was always dressed impeccably and ready for whatever life threw her way and ready to entertain at a moment's notice.
But, to her daughter, she was the person who loved everyone more than her, particularly the foster child and her brother. She comes home for a visit and decides this is the time to find the answers to why she feels so hurt and unloved. She knows she can never be the woman her mother is and isn't sure she’d want to be. As she drinks her way through her journey of discovery, what she finds is deception at its darkest. This novel will take you on an emotional rollercoaster that delves into a dysfunctional family, abandonment, depraved hearts, misplaced love, and alcoholism. Farley is never afraid to dig deep to make readers feel her stories.
