I applaud author, Neftali Cano, for telling it like it is to middle and high school students, who need to hear the truth- college is not for everyone. If fact, college can be a detour in a student’s journey toward a career that is much more fulfilling than one found sitting in a classroom.
But one must firt realize that the middle grades and high school are proving grounds for the future. Cano warns, kindly, to take seriously the time spent in grades K-12. The book is written in a way that speaks to teenagers without being critical or condescending.
I highly recommend this book for parents to give as a gift, and for high school counselors to keep in their offices. Well done.
Very helpful
I baught this book to help a student who was struggling in High School. It was written to speak to kids on their level. I really enjoyed the pictures! I would definitely recommend this book to kids, parents or councelors.
