Description de l’éditeur

I had the world.

Then he told me he wanted a divorce.

I was the first female hockey player in the NHL. I’d broken barriers, kicked butt on the ice, made a family out of a group of grumpy misfits…

But I couldn’t keep my marriage together.

I wasn’t enough for the man who said he’d love me forever.

And now, as strong as I wanted to pretend I was, I wanted to give up, move on, forget everything there was about Stefan.

Only…

Then I found out the real reason he’d left me.

And I knew there had never been any game more important in my life than winning my ex-husband’s heart a second time.

Brightndays ,

Will they both be willing to fight for their future?

Scored is the twentieth book set within the Gold Hockey series. This… both is and is not a stand alone. Both characters have had a massive influence over this series, their story is woven between the books, but the events in this book stand alone. Brit and Stefan were hockey royalty, until he filed for a divorce. But as events transpire between them, as their love continues to flame brightly, will they both be willing to fight for their future?

Holy emotional rollercoaster. Half of me thinks this story was entirely unnecessary for all of the tears and heartbreak it caused me, but the other half is so thankful for the realness, the rawness, and the beauty that came from this book and these characters. Brit had so much to handle, so much to juggle, and so many emotions running through her at all times, that it was difficult to read. But I couldn’t help but cheer for her success and her hope to never fail. Stefan was… Geesh, I don’t want to give anything away, but I halfway hated him for his push and pull attitude, but I also loved him when he finally pulled his head out of his butt and realized what he needed to fight for. I have always loved this couple, always cheered for their crazy connection that just wouldn’t quit, and while I hate what he (and Miss Elise) put them through, I loved this book, too. Well done, well written, and well executed, but I definitely could have gone with fewer tears!
