Dahlia and Felix

My review for Scoring the Player ( Campus Wallflowers) By: Rebecca Jenshak

Dahlia a wallflower college student at Valley U. Felix Walter is a highly watched football athlete at this school who wants to go the the NFL. Somehow what she thought was a secret message to a friend about him is heard by the entire school. Now her secret desires becomes the brunt of the jokes. But Felix isn’t a complete a hole. He knows of her but doesn’t. To keep face they decide to do the fake relationship thing. I love both these narrators. Maybe the story itself was so so and I couldn’t get into it. I liked the ending.

So good!

Finally, Felix's story and it was a great new adult sports romance. Dahlia, the sweet, shy Wallflower meets her match in Felix, the quarterback who is so sweet. Plenty of humor, so many aaaah moments and a lot of steam make this one of those stories that I had a hard time putting down. Add to it that I listened to the audiobook with Jason Clarke (sigh) and Erin Mallon (double sigh) and the story really came to life in a spectacular way. One of my favorite things is when the characters are so relatable and types of people that I wish I could have met in the real world when I went to college. This series is full of them and I adored stepping back into college for this series and this book!
