Publisher Description

A nest of espionage. A break for the border. A race to survive.

The Allies are desperate to stop neutral Turkey supplying vital materials to the Nazis – materials which could help them win the war. But then a British agent makes a fatal mistake, and disappears in Istanbul.

In England, detective turned spy Richard Prince – back from a clandestine mission in Nazi-occupied Europe – is hunting for his lost son. Before long he is drawn into a dangerous follow-up operation, posing as a journalist in Turkey.

The mission soon goes wrong. Out of touch with London and stranded hundreds of miles behind enemy lines, Prince will have to find evidence of the Turks secret trade with the Nazis, as well as a way out.

Chances of survival? Low. Chance of completing his mission? Prince will do whatever it takes.
An astounding WWII espionage thriller from a modern master of the genre, Sea of Spies is a triumph, perfect for fans of Alan Furst, John le Carré and Robert Harris.

I see what you are saying ,

Sea of Spies

Good thriller, particularly when getting into details of the protagonist’s journey following the metal delivery to Germany from Turkey. Unfortunately, just as with the 1st novel in the series, the ending comes all too quickly I without much fanfare, like a novel anticipating another book in the series. I will purchase the 3rd in the series (& probably the 4th, as well), though I’d much rather read them for free. 😜

I read this continuously until finished…….could not put it down! Great follow up to the first book. Ordering the next when I finish this review. Do not pass this one up!

This guy tells a great spy story. Reading his books can become an addiction, in a good way. However, obtaining them feels a lot like one would imagine obtaining some other substance might be- first one’s free, next one’s a buck, then, once you can’t easily stop, the price goes up. Fortunately, books are still legal! These are good stories.
