Publisher Description
Life was never boring, but, for Axel, things kick up a notch when he helps in an underwater rescue of a
downed submarine that’s low on oxygen. What they find is nothing like what they expected. All the crew
but one was dead—as in shot to death. The last remaining crew member was alive but in rough shape.
What the hell happened here?
Allee woke up in the hospital and barely remembers how she got here. But a fuzzy memory only
compounds the horror when the investigation ranks her as their number one suspect in the nightmare
that won’t quit.
As the investigation takes a darker turn, so does her life, as someone decides a dead patsy is better than
one who can talk …

Our hero Axel and Mason have gone to search out a sunken Navy submarine that has no power and low oxygen.
When they get there, they find the crew members dead and only one survivor, a badly injured Ally, who says she hid when the shooting started.
Was someone trying to take down the sub? Who? Will they be back?
Lots of twist!

Had me hooked from the start!
4.5 Stars
This is book 25 in the SEALs of Honor series and it features Axel and Ally. From the beginning the mystery and suspense were amazing! The action throughout is fantastic! She’s the last woman standing in a downed submarine. He’s on the SEAL team sent in to find out what happened. Now it’s a mad dash for Axel to keep Ally alive with the help of Baylor.
The story line is fantastic. The characters were likable. I felt a connection with these two and that kept me deeply entranced in the story.
SEALs of Honor: Axel
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This book is a fast read in the SEALs of Honor world. Axel teams up with Mason to get to a downed sub. They haven't heard anything from anyone on the sub for several hours. The sub was on a test cruise when things went awry. Ally is the only female on the sub. She is the IT expert and she is found with several injuries. One is a bullet wound so severe that it broke her femur.
The search is on to figure out the who, what and why behind the killing of all the men on the sub. I did enjoy the dual POV format that the book is written in. But like several of the female protagonists, this one was way to whiny for my liking. She is constantly glaring, demanding to be released from the hospital and really just being a sulky child to me. I just really didn't see a connection between these two.
There were some sexy scenes so I would not recommend this to anyone under the age of 18.
