The past should stay dead – except it never does!
Pranks against each other in elementary school lead to love in high school for Cynthia and Ryan. A smouldering, intense love framed on the backdrop of Cynthia’s father leaving in shame, abandoning her and her mother. So when Ryan heads off to college, Cynthia accepts that their love is over.
Years later, Ryan’s back and more devastatingly handsome and rugged than ever. And the smoldering that had been intense in high school erupts into passion so intense, it threatens to burn them both. Until Cynthia’s mother gets sick…Cynthia has to go to her – and all of her confusing emotions bubble up, leaving her confused and not sure what to do about her feelings for Ryan.
Will Cynthia’s past keep her from embracing a future with Ryan?

Great ending to this series
I enjoyed this book for numerous reasons - I liked the fact that we learned a lot about the characters when they were teenagers and how they fell in love. The story moved at a nice pace. Ryan and Cynthia were both down to earth and likeable. There were several classic moments (i.e. when Ryan brought Cynthia coffee). I liked the fact that there was an epilogue at the end but it would be nice if it tied up the whole series and brought all of the characters back at the end.
