Second Chances

When Terrance Campbell, a divorce lawyer in Chicago, dies at fifty-three of a heart attack, the last thing he expects is to wake up in the body of his ex-girlfriend Edee Prescott, twenty years in the past. Not only should this be impossible, but Edee died in a car crash all those years ago—except now everyone is saying that Terrance is the one who died, and Terrance is Edee!

Terrance now finds himself thrust into the bizarrely familiar life of his former sweetheart, working as an elementary teacher and sharing a house with Edee’s friend Lana. Even stranger is interacting with Edee’s best friend, Michael Cox, the one man he was always jealous of when he was with Edee. But his interactions with Michael are totally different now as he adjusts to being a woman and starts to see what she saw in her friend.

As he gets better and better at adjusting to his new life as Edee, he starts to get comfortable in his new body. So comfortable that when he’s given a choice, he’s not even sure what he wants anymore: Can he go back to being Terrance, or will he choose to embrace the person he was meant to be all along?
