Kendall is football town, and Jerry Downing is the high school's star quarterback, working to redeem himself after he nearly killed a girl in a drunk driving accident last year. Carla Jenson, lead reporter for the school newspaper's sports section, has recruited Jerry to co-author a blog chronicling the season from each of their perspectives. When Jerry's best friend on the team takes a hit too hard and gets hurt, Carla wonders publicly if injury in the game comes at too high a cost in a player's life—but not everyone in Kendall wants to hear it...

Amazing story

It brings to light the real consequence athletes at my age can run into while we play. The main characters both have their goal at achieving and the unique way the story is written is really cool. As an airsoft player myself I know the risk of having a bb strike me in the wrong spot like my eye and need to wear a mask to protect my face but this story reminds me why no matter what sport you play whether it be football, soccer, baseball, swimming or even a hobbyist sport like airsoft or paintball, we need to know the possible injuries that can affect us for the rest of our lives we can get from playing sports and should be aware of its symptoms.
