Trilogy? Nope - Home Run!
First - Thank God this was the complete trilogy. If I had to wait on one of those cliffhangers...? Noooo!!
I was completely lost & confused at the start of this book. It took a while to grasp; to get a handle & understanding of the setting/situation. Once I caught on, I couldn't stop reading and the pace never let up. Life was put on hold so I could read until I finished.
It's such an unlikely love story, definitely had to suspend belief. But, that's what stories are for, am I right? Christopher & Ember - neither were very likeable at first, but oh, do they grow on you...and each other. (Hehe, see what I did there?)
This is definitely dark, so be prepared for the ride. Or alternately, stay away if it isn't your thing. You've been warned.
Overall it is, of course, another Alta winner. She's a one-click author and you can't go wrong. Definitely recommend!
