Great read
I loved his book and Achillles and Mycah are perfect for each other. They both have their own baggage and dreams and hopes. I loved how fast paced the book was and I really can’t wait for Keenan book. These brothers are everything to root for. Naima Simone again has a wonderful escape in her books.
Achilles & Mycah
***1/2- Achilles Farrell is the middle son of billionaire Barron Farrell. He is in Boston for his father’s funeral. He never knew who his father was when he was growing up. His mother refused to tell him. Now he has two half brothers. He has to stay in Boston for one year to run the company with his brothers. A company he does not want to be involved in. Achilles just wants to go back home to Tacoma, Washington. The three brothers are very likeable. Cain the oldest is very welcoming to his two brothers. Cain and Kenan are determined to make Achilles a part of the family. They want Achilles to stay in Boston and continue with the company after the year is up.
Mycah Hill meets Achilles in a bar and they have a one night stand. Several weeks later she is interviewing for a position in his company and is hired by his brothers. Achilles and Mycah had a memorable night. Neither one wanted a commitment. Unfortunately they cannot forget their fabulous one night together. Mycah is determined to keep their one night a secret. She does not want anyone thinking she got her position because of Achilles. As time goes by it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the secret. There is sexual tension whenever they are together. The air crackles with their desire when they are alone. They are having a hard time fighting their attraction to each other.
Achilles wants to let his brothers know about them. She does not want to tell anyone. This causes issues for Achilles because he feels like he is her dirty secret. Achilles has trust issues from a previous relationship where he was the secret other man.
Achilles is a passionate and caring man. He has many old scars that need healing. Achilles does not feel like he belongs in Boston. Mycah wants to be independent. She comes from a wealthy and overbearing family. She does not want to depend on anyone. Can they make their relationship work? Will they trust each other? Will Achilles leave in one year?
This is the second book in the Billionaires of Boston series. Overall it was a good book. It was a little slow at the beginning but it does pick up. I look forward to reading the next book about Kenan Rhodes, the youngest brother. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved the book
I loved the story overall, it’s a fast read. It has some spice, a little steam. I loved Mycah she is all about her career then she meets Achilles at a bar. I won’t say more. This book captured my attention from the beginning until the end.
