Secular Humanism is not a religion. It is a worldview, as religions all focuses on worshipping and dogma. Secular Humanism is a world-stance and even rejects the notion of God. Humanists believe that humans are responsible for the planet and also believe that humans don’t need religious dogma to improve the world and those around them. Your book is a little off-point and is not very accurately portraying Secular Humanism.
