Publisher Description
Former Army Special Forces officer Martin “Del” Delano is hunting a serial killer while leading TASK FORCE HAWAII. The last thing he needs is a distraction—especially one as tempting as Emma Taylor.
Brilliant, quirky, and impossible to ignore, Emma has a talent for seeing connections everyone else misses. She’s also the key to catching a killer. Working closely with her should be simple.
It isn’t.
Del can’t stop thinking about the smart-mouthed geek with the dangerous smile, and Emma can’t resist pushing the tattooed, Harley-riding alpha right to his limit. What starts as teasing turns explosive when one reckless moment lands her in his bed.
But while Del is falling hard for the one woman who gets under his skin, the killer is watching Emma too.
And when she becomes the next target, Del will do whatever it takes to keep her alive—even if it means risking his heart, his team… and everything he’s built.
And when she becomes the next target, Del will do whatever it takes to keep her alive—even if it means risking his heart, his team… and everything he’s built.
Because to save the woman he loves, Del may have to become more dangerous than the man they’re hunting.
Customer Reviews
Hot, hot, hot start to a new series!!!
I loved this book. I have been waiting on Emma and Del's story since "A Little Harmless Rumor" and I was not disappointed. I loved how Del just gets Emma. He understands her quirks and takes things at her pace. There is romance and intrigue that kept me reading til I had finished it.
Melissa Schroeder has been an autobuy for me since her Santini series, but this book has become my new favorite. If you like a hot, sexy read plus a good mystery then this is the book for you. Now I'm ready for the next book, hopefully it'll be Ella and Graeme's story.
