Great reference for the Isshinryu Practitioner
This is a very well done book by Andersen Sensei. I believe everyone can benefit from this book, whether from learning the basics of the kata or the applications of the techniques.
The detail that he has included makes it easy to understand each movement. The close up pictures of each of the stances would surely be helpful to newer students as well.
I also appreciate the background that he has included, proving that he has gone to extreme lengths to enhance his knowledge of Isshinryu by traveling to Okinawa and training with the masters there as often as he has. Many of us do not get the opportunity to travel to Okinawa like he has, so it is great that he share his vast knowledge with everyone.
This is a great reference guide. I am glad that I can have this in my library of martial arts books. I look forward to future publications.
