Senior Centre

This high-interest, low-vocabulary photostory is suitable for adult basic education (ABE) and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students who are beginning readers. Sara volunteers in an outreach program for a senior centre. She visits seniors who are in need. Sara visits Jay on a regular basis to check on how he is doing and to provide companionship. One day, Jay mentions that he used to be an artist. Sara asks Jay to teach her how to paint. Jay finds an old paint set of his; he also rediscovers his passion for painting.
