Fantastic and Romantic
I normally steer clear of any kind of vampire romance, but I enjoyed Harrison's "Dragon Bound" so much that I decided to give "Serpent's Kiss" a chance. I am very very glad that I did. Rune and Carling are a terrific couple with real chemistry. Harrison takes a long time to develop their personalities, so it actually makes sense when they fall in love. The nature of Carling's illness added another unique element to the story; I've never seen anything like that before. I will definitely be reading "Oracle's Moon" when it is released, and I hope Harrison sticks with the series long enough to write books for Rune's fellow gryphons.
