Customer Reviews

glhince ,

a good read, but not one that would encourage me to read on in the series.

A destination wedding in Hawaii after a series of secrets spilled by a distasteful ex, Eliza is intrigued by the sexy seatmate and decides that perhaps it is time to get some of her own back. An intriguing set up with some seriously sexy moments, but I couldn’t really connect to the characters.

Eliza keeps an iron-grip on her thoughts and hurt from the ‘damage’ done by her ex – and that lost me in her almost complete boldness and determination to experience what she thinks she was missing. Add the rather buttoned up persona that she shows the world, and I just had difficulty resolving the two.

Chandler is divorced, also attending the wedding and while he was not disturbed by her advances – he was one of the really ‘nice’ guys. He sees value in Eliza, and wants her to see that too, and hopes that he can convince her a relationship is possible.

With other characters adding their two cents in, to Eliza’s ‘deep dark secret’ that really wasn’t – it was a good read, but not one that would encourage me to read on in the series.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
