When faking it becomes aching for it…
They say a bachelor with a big “vessel” is a babe magnet. And you know what? They aren’t wrong. But the CEO of the family yacht company (a.k.a. my mother) is rocking my boat, demanding I bed and wed the heiress of one of our biggest competitors. If my mother doesn't get her way and decides to fire me, I forfeit millions in trust fund money. So there's that.
Salvation comes in the form of Delaney Brewster, who just happens to need an investor. In exchange, she agrees to help me stave off Mommie Dearest by pretending to be my girlfriend. It's a crazy faking idea, but even crazier? My heart is telling me that spunky, sexy Delaney could be the real deal.
It’s not an overstatement to say my 9-to-5 equates to lying underneath a hairy fat guy and faking an orgasm. I desperately want to start my own business, but my cash flow…isn’t. Until Damon Cavanaugh makes me an offer my bank account can’t refuse.
Pretending to be his girlfriend should be easy, since I’ve sworn off serious relationships. And let’s face it, he’s easy on the eyes. But the more I get to know Damon, the less it feels like acting. And when his mother steps up the pressure, the gloves—and the masks—have to come off, exposing the one thing I swore to protect...my heart.

FRIENDS TO LOVERS IN THIS FUNNY SLOW BURN LOVE STORY
I read Big Deck by Remy Rose and was an immediate fan. I love her style of writing and how everything came together so perfectly. Although Sexy Mother Faker is a stand-alone, I encourage you to also Read Big Deck because the main characters, Maddie and Jackson, appear regularly in Sexy Mother Faker. I personally love sequels because it provides you with the continuation of the lives of the characters you already have gotten to know and love.
Remy writes in such a fun, witty manner that has many laugh out loud moments. The leading men in both books are true gentlemen and fight for the women they love which is another plus for me.
In order for me to post a five-star review, I need to really admire and respect the hero and heroine in the story and Delaney (Laney) and Damon did not disappoint. I could feel their immediate attraction to one another and liked how they were open and honest about what was expected of their relationship. I don’t want to give any spoilers away but there is a contract involved! I felt Delaney’s pain when she shared with Damon an incident that happened to her in college. I was so pleased she was able to trust him with her heart and how patient and understanding he was.
I liked that the characters are independent, out of college, and working professionally. I admired Delaney going after her dream of opening a café, and Damon for his work ethics and position in his family business building yachts. His mom was a real nasty piece of work, but I am so glad he stood up to her and defended his girlfriend repeatedly, and how he befriended a woman his mom was trying to set him up with. That Damon is a good man! Damon was a "player" before he started seeing Delaney, but only had eyes for her since they met (another plus for me). I also admire Delaney for standing up to his mom when she got the chance, and how everything worked out in the end. No book would be worth reading if there wasn’t some angst and this book has all the feels.
Throughout the book, I liked how the characters took their time getting to know each other, and how they shared a love of animals, home cooked meals, and walks on the beach. Damon especially was very sweet, generous, and thoughtful to Laney, and not at all pretentious about his wealth and social standing. I also liked reading about their friendships and how supportive they were of one another. And when they decided to pursue a physical relationship, because there was no denying their chemistry and attraction towards one another, their intimate moments were very hot and steamy!
Another plus are the covers of her books! The guy on the cover Sexy Mother Faker is exactly how I picture preppy, well-bred Damon to be after reading the description of him in the book. If Remy Rose is a new author to you, I encourage you to give her a try because if you a reader of romance, you won't be disappointed!
