Syxe has no idea where she came from, but that's going to change.
The Shadow Association want Syxe back under their control, and she's certain that some of their control over her has to do with her parents. All she has to do, is figure out what it is.
Between trying to discover the truth about her past, staying out of the Association's clutches, and keeping up with her reaper studies, her hands are full. But Syxe is more determined than ever to achieve everything she's set out to.
She's going to find out who she is, no matter how long it takes.
Shadow Prophet is book two of Scythe Grove Academy, an urban fantasy paranormal academy series featuring a reaper who has no idea of her powers, a cult determined to get her back, and a slow burn sweet m/f romantic subplot.
If you like heroines who can talk to ghosts, university-age paranormal academy settings, slow-burn friends-to-lovers, and coming-of-age plots, then start the Scythe Grove Academy series today with Shadow Seer.
A good second addition to the series. As Syxe continues to settle into her new life at the academy things start to look up when she discovers she may have found her family, unfortunately, bad news follows when she receives another summons from the Shadow Association. This well-written, fast-paced read was very enlightening, and I look forward to reading the next installment. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The second installment of the Scythe Grove Academy series details Syxe adjusting to her new role as reaper and student at the academy. There’s so much she doesn’t know that’s second nature to her friends due to her rather dubious upbringing by the Shadow Association. At the academy she has a purpose, friends and a maybe boyfriend on the horizon. All that is threatened when the Shadow Association is unwilling to let her just walk away. Danger increases when her two worlds past and present collide.
A fun quick read! So much packed into a shorter length book. I love the whole reaper academy vibe and the students and teachers who make up the school. Great characters, great world building and a really intriguing plot. Whether you’re into academy series or not I definitely recommend you read this one it is such a fun book!
