Survivor's guilt rears its ugly head occasionally after the murder of Emma Lee Holmes' first husband, Scott, while on their honeymoon ten years earlier. After five years of grieving, she meets and marries Barry.

Well-educated businesswoman Emma knows all about success while she climbs the corporate ladder. Now at thirty-five, her lifelong plan of having children one day is inching away. Her busy schedule leaves her limited time with Barry while splitting her work schedule traveling between Austin and San Antonio for business.
