Good if you like that sort of thing
This is the continuation of Glimmerglass and it fills in a lot of questions left from that book, which I'd good. It's got a captivating idea and concept as well, which is also good. What is not so good, at least in my perspective, is the way the author wrote it. It written in first person from a girl of 16 years. Therefore it's written from with an average 16 year old's vocabulary, which to say the least, is not so captivating. It gets old hearing how hot certain characters are. I would give this 3 stars in general because of the way it was written and how repressive information is but it's certainly an unorthodox and interesting tale so I gave it an additional star.
Another Great Novel
A drama filled action packed roller coaster.

There's good writing, and there's good things too write about. Maybe 4 out of 5 for the writing, bit I'm pressed to give even 1 for the subject matter.
Can girls actually be this shallow? When exposed to magic, Fey and death threats all around, what's the main worry for our leading lady? Boys, clothes and breaking out of the house with out her parents finding out. Can't say that I was very sympathetic with all the fine messes that she landed herself in.
World building at its worst. What potentially has the promise of being an exciting land where magic and tech can clash with each other, but its been demoted to a insipid sandbox where the subject's main worry is how she is going to land a boyfriend.
There's so much more that could have been done.
