John Pelham and his assistant Marty enter Cleary, New York in search of the perfect backdrop for a new movie. As they snap photos and get to know the town, someone begins encouraging them to leave town. After ignoring threatening notes and vandalism of their property, the locals resort to more violent persuasion. This backfired in more ways than one as John Pelham decides to find out who is behind the threats and why such a small town seems determined not to be in the public eye.
