Set against the backdrop of a restless East London High Street, Shame On Us interweaves a collection of short stories on vulnerability, betrayal and the power of truth in the face of unspoken desire. The unfiltered moments of life most of us shy away from are explored with unflinching honesty. All of the stories converge into an explosive climax where confessions pour, redemption is sought and lives are saved, and lost.

The first two chapters…

Un-unrequited – In what begins as playful banter between two long-time friends, spirals into a confession years in the making—one that forces Jason and Candace to confront the love they could've shared and the future they still could have. In this intimate, devastating chapter, passion collides with principle, and what is morally right clashes with what the heart desires.

Shades – A couple in the early throws of their relationship enjoy a romantic walk in the park, until their discussion turns to the children they one day wish to have. Their hopes and fears begin to unravel as their conversation deepens into a vulnerable exploration of love, fear and race. In "Shades," Chrissy and Jordon confront the questions that could define their future as an interracial couple.
