Benjamin Taylor has been Acting Earth Ambassador for just six months and although he's managed to keep Earth from being destroyed, not everyone is happy with peace.  

When extraterrestrials burn a deadly scar across the planet Earth clamors for answers and the Embassy decides that Benjamin is not the person to get them. But even out of a job, humans and aliens both conspire to place the fate of the planet on his shoulders.
