Shattered Rainbow

Time stops when five friends embark on a journey through Dinosaur National Monument and things don’t go according to plan. Soon they find themselves feeling like they’ve been transported back in time—without the benefit of a time machine. Then, in their effort to uncover the meaning of what they’ve found, chaos strikes.

In time, police and the Moffet County, Colorado, DA’s office are sucked into the fray in an effort to determine motive, and solve the crimes that have been uncovered

during the investigation into the whereabouts of the missing hikers. Eventually Derik Cousins, one of the original five friends, comes forward to fill in the gaps for the DA’s office. His explanation is the epitome of a shattered rainbow.

The outcome of this story leaves the reader wondering if things could have worked out differently. And, if so, would anybody have even ever been aware of what

happened and of what was found. Could there have been any way to keep the rainbow from shattering.
