A fair amount of straight-up dialogue materializes at key intervals, but the book's foundation is extensive sections describing the perspectives of the key players in Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and the factors that contributed to her loss to Donald Trump. Veteran stage actress Farr juggles these elements smoothly, partly because her serious tone and metered pacing resemble the voice of Clinton herself. She also revs up the tension by adding extra weight to her voice in some of the more dramatic parts of the narrative, such as when the campaigners react to public statements made by then FBI director James Comey and of course the drawn-out events of election night. Conformation for Trump supporters, closure for Hillary supporters
I went into reading this with an open mind. I have never liked Hillary and never will. This book confirmed what most people already know about her. She's all about herself and always has been. Even in the face of defeat she still cannot accept the fact that SHE and she alone is the reason she lost. For her supporters, I think there is some closure in there. It's sure to tick off Bernie supporters since she blamed Trumps rise and overpowering of her message as something that started with Bernie and Trump was able to keep building on that. Overall I would recommend this book to not just Trump people, but everyone no matter who you chose this election cycle. Especially for those Hillary supporters, there was flaws not only in the way the campaign was ran, but in the nominee herself.
Very interesting
I was taken aback to the years of 2015-2016 which already seemed like a movie. I didn't support Hillary Clinton in 2008 nor did I want her to be president now. I don't agree with all of Trump's policies but he had a better message than she did.
Great book
If you want to witness slow motion destruction of Hillary's 2016 presidential campaign, this book is it.
