Jaynee has lived a tragic life and has sworn off all men. That is until a rugged southern gentleman lands in her seating area, refusing to take no for an answer. From the moment they meet, Jordan sweeps her off her feet, assuring her that happiness exists. But can she really escape her past?
Five years later, Jordan finds Jaynee on their back porch with a gunshot wound to the head. While Jaynee lies in a coma, Jordan has to go back to their beginning and figure out what went wrong. Did he push his wife to the edge, or has her past come back to haunt them?

Great love story with mystery and some humor
This is a wonderful book. Carmen Desousa has given us readers a book filled with suspense. The love between Jaycee and Jordan was love at first sight and so strong they overcame elements that would pulls other apart. There was Christian references that added to the storyline. God answered Jaycee's prayers and sent her Jordan. It's the type book you don't want to end.
It's a very good book. My only thing is, the guy is wayyyy too perfect. And their are wayyyy too many compliments thrown in there. I know that's how it should be but if we're being realistic most romances don't have ppl throwing compliments every 5 seconds. I mean they could be brushing teeth and Jordan starts talking about belonging together and it's just too much. But overall if you can get over the sappiness(idk how to spell it) it's a great novel.
The reason to read this book:
The main reason I like this book is because it gives you enough information to know what's happening but at the same time gets to the point. Like my sister begged me to read another book and they talked about a lake for 3 pages. So much happens in this book so fast. And it has such an amazing twist. 5/5
