She Hears the Wind

What can I say? It was a year the wind was blowing; it was out of control. It had a way of getting on your nerves. It can be a powerful force to deal with. We like to control things, don't we? We like things calm, right? The wind is out of our control, and we find ways to deal with it.

It was funny, I woke up one night, the wind was pounding, and I said, "I hear you wind." I gathered my pen and paper and started writing wind poems in the dark. The wind can be a pushy fellow. Our emotions can be pushy like that, forcing us to feel things we do not want to feel. I was inspired to mix the wind with emotions, with a sprinkling of advice, opinions, and imagination. That is what happens in a windstorm, everything gets blown around together. Some things stay, some blow away. The wind-I decided to have fun with it.
