Travis knows there's something off about his new waitress. He has his doubts about her ability to handle drunken shifters, even though she insists she's tough enough to handle anything his bar patrons throw at her. What he doesn't expect though is her reaction to the sight of his animal. What did she expect? Some pansy-ass wolf? If so, she's in for a mighty shock considering he's all bear.

This read like the cliff notes of a fuller shifter romance and still managed a couple typos.
While characters are allowed to be ignorant and fantasy wolves are allowed to have whatever behavioral dynamics the writer wants, it’s worth noting that contrary to what Phoenix believes, real wolves don’t have alphas. The alpha wolf is a myth that has long since been debunked, yet continues to be perpetuated by media like this. And I guess while we’re at it cougars don’t run in packs and black bears don’t mate for life.
