Publisher Description
I’ve known she was my fated mate for years. Now, she’s back.
I saved Aurora’s life when we were young, but I couldn’t protect her when she left.
When she’s back in Black Forest Ridge for her grandmother’s birthday, our chemistry is stronger than ever. My need to protect and worship her pulls at me every time I see her.
It was painful to watch her walk out of my life before, but having her so close and out of reach is torture. All I want is to be able to prove myself worthy of her. She is perfect to me.
Her walls are high, and her guard is up.
This is my last chance to claim her before my feral madness sets in.

Excellent!
Aurora was raised in a pride run by two cruel Alpha’s. Her mother sent her to join the military when she turned 18, but before she could leave, her pride was attacked and her mother was killed. She ran, but one of the shifters caught her. His name was Mack and he faked her death so she could get away from his father and brothers. Now twenty- three years later she is returning to Black Forest Ridge in Alaska to attend her Aunt June’s 75th birthday party. She doesn’t know what she is going to do afterwards. She was seriously injured on her last mission with her special ops team. She was given a medical discharge and she is suffering from PTSD. She thinks being alone is the only option until she gets herself together, if that ever happens.
Mack is at the airport to pick up Aurora for her Aunt June. He doesn’t know it is “her” until he see’s her at the airport. She doesn’t recognize him, until they get home and he takes off his sunglasses. She would know those eyes anywhere. Mack can’t believe he is getting a second chance with his fated mate, but he is going to have his work cut out for him. As a hybrid, half lion and half human, she is clueless about the whole mating thing.
When Aurora realizes who Mack is, she can’t help but be drawn to him. When she finds out that he thinks she is his fated mate, she is ready to run. She is to broken to even consider getting into a relationship. He deserves better than a broken woman. But she can‘t leave for two weeks because she promised to help with Aunt June’s party.
Mack was also in the military and in special ops, so he has seen his share of soldiers with PTSD. He knows she needs help, but until she is ready to ask for help, he will just have to let fate takes its own course. Of course, that doesn’t mean he can’t romance her and hopefully get her to change her mind. He only has two weeks, but his pack is behind him all the way!
A great addition to the series. Full of action, laughs and lots of emotions! I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Aurora and Mack
Aurora’s mom was given to the Rossi brothers by her father when she got pregnant by her human fated mate and she was called a broken shifter by everyone. Her mother had her sign up for the army to get out but had to leave a week earlier because the brothers were going to “break her in”. Aurora heard fighting so she turned back and saw Mack’s family had killed the brothers and going to kill everyone else too, Mack stood against his father. He was sent to kill her but he sliced her arm and rubbed blood on him so his father would think she was dead she gave him one of her bracelets for saving her. Mack knew that she was his mate then, went to the Ridge to celebrate her aunt’s birthday but Mack wasn’t going to let her go. She won a baking competition the father of one of the losers set her store to be on fire after trapping her in the basement but she finally got a bar on her phone and called Mack and told him what happened. She worked though her issues and accepted him as her mate. Good book!.
