Rob and Kenna
Kenna was the commander of a unit that went after people that the police had trouble catching but had been blinded when a bomb had gone off. Rob was asked by her brother and best friend to take care of her but she made him leave so he did. Rob’s boss and Kenna’s godfather told him to go undercover in her unit to protect her. She decided that after he had fallen off a roof and getting shot he wasn’t needed anymore and told him to leave but her unit covered him getting into the SUV. Found out that her ex fiancé who was supposed to be dead wanted to experiment on her because she was 1/2 Phoenix. To help Kenna because he thought he was going to die told her second in command to take off his horn and place it over her heart, lost his magic. When she found out that he was in the burning building she ran in and her tears saved him and the fire didn’t burn them. Good book!.
