The definitive voice in gay comics
Steve MacIsaac’s "Shirtlifter” series is something special. Sidestepping some of the obvious and overused cliches of gay culture, this series is the real deal. There’s a truth underlying some of the pieces that every gay man can identify with, and it resonates with honesty and candor that is at times funny, sad, hopeful, reflective, and always genuine. The stories are well written, the dialogue is natural, the illustrations are captivating, and the themes are universal. This is the definitive voice in gay comics. Highly recommended.
